I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff from the feeder primaries who have supported the current year 6 students with transition and to all of the Burnside staff who have worked tirelessly to deliver the best possible transition under the current circumstances.
Under current restrictions Burnside are proud to have offered the following transition opportunities to all families who will be joining us in September:
- Launched the 2021/22 transition website
- Whole class virtual Q&A with staff and students
- Parent/ carer handbook and form class allocation posted to all families
- In person meet the form tutor day
- Virtual lesson with form classes
- Main feeder school visits by Miss Greenwell
- Enhanced transition visits for individual students
- #I Will project in partnership with Children North East
