Parents Guide – A Guide to help students and their families.

Confirmed Covid-19 case 23.9.20

We have received confirmation today that a member of the school community has received a positive test for COVID-19.  In consultation with public health officials we have conducted a full risk assessment and as a result a small number of year 11 pupils have been advised to self isolate as a precaution in accordance with government guidance.  If you or your child has not been contacted directly this means that there has not been close contact and your child is safe to attend school as normal.  Please see the attached letter for more information.

I would like to take this opportunity to make a couple of reminders to parents:

  • A negative test does not mean that someone has to stop self isolating.  A test should only be arranged if someone is experiencing symptoms.
  • If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms or has arranged for a test, everyone in the household must self isolate.  Please do not send a child to school if anyone in the household has symptoms.
